Hughes Community Service Club collected a total of 32 toys for their Toy Drive. They took them down to St. Vince DePaul on December 2nd after school. They will also be volunteering hours this Saturday, the 6th, to help with their Annual Toy Program. Needy families bring their children down and they participate in activities, see Santa, and leave with a couple of toys. They are expecting at least 100+ families = 300-400 children to show up. Thanks for helping us be a blessing to others.
Some members will return to St. Vincent DePaul on Dec. 23, 2008 to assist with passing out Christmas Dinner Boxes to needy families.
The Community Service Club also collected donations of money and household items to adopt a needy family for the holidays. Their efforts succeeded in getting all the items on the Family's Wish List and then some!
